MANVILLE- Hilda L. (Rossi) Rainone, 94, of Sayles Hill Rd., formerly of Knight St. died Wednesday August 7, 2013, in the Holiday Retirement Home, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Vincent Rainone.
Born in Natick, R.I. daughter of the late Silvio and Angelina (DiLeo) Rossi.
Mrs. Rainone worked as a winder for Honora Mills and also for various textile mills in the area prior to retiring.
She was a former member of the Christian Group of All Saints and St. Joseph Senior Citizens, St. Anthony's Ladies Guild, YWCA, Y Wives, and Royal Travelers.
Mrs. Rainone loved spending time with her family and friends; she was a very warm, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a cherished friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by her son Kenneth and his wife Brenda Rainone of North Providence, R.I. Two granddaughters, Nancy and her husband Michael Gelinas, of Woonsocket, Donna and her husband Brian Mumma, of Smithfield, R.I. And three great grandchildren, whom were the joy of her life. Anthony Rainone, Greg and Gracie Mumma.
She was the sister of the late Barbara, Ethel, Ida, Viola, Lido, Thomas, Onorio, Pio, Plino, Aldo, and Gaspar.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 10 A.M in St. Anthony's Church, Greene St. Woonsocket, R.I. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, Ma. Relatives and friends are invited; Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Holiday Nursing Home, Activity Fund, 30 Sayles Hill Rd.
