WOONSOCKET- Dorothy L. (Hayes) Moore, 72, of Woonsocket, passed away on July 2, 2013 at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Brian L. Moore.
Born in Richmond, VA on May 7, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Hicks) Hayes. She leaves her daughter, Tracy S. McCallum of Boston, MA, her granddaughter, Elissa D.M. Turcotte of Bellingham, MA, her great-grandsons, Matthew L. Hayes and Jaidyn I. Turcotte and many family members. Also, "Roxie Moore" her loving Blue Pit Terrier.
A longtime resident Woonsocket formerly of Bellingham and Boston, Dorothy owned and operated The Fox and Chicken With Waffles Restaurant in Bellingham serving her specialties Southern-fried chicken and homemade buttermilk waffles. Dorothy loved to cook, bake and had worked as a baker in Boston.
Dorothy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visiting hours are on Tuesday, August 13th from 5 to 7PM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Funeral Service at 7:00PM at the funeral home.
