WOONSOCKET- Arnold A. Smith, 77, of Fall St. died Friday August 16, 2013, at home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Joyce (Ducharme) Smith.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Harold and Mildred (Mowry) Smith.
Mr. Smith worked in maintenance for Amica Ins. for 15 years and Textron for 10 years, prior to retiring.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was an avid sports enthusiast, and enjoyed watching his favorite teams on television.
He is survived by his four children, Donna and her husband Aloysius Langeveld, of Woonsocket, William and his wife Patricia Smith of North Smithfield, Karen and her husband James Lanctot, of Woonsocket, Sandra and her husband David Sloan, of Woonsocket. One sister Barbara Boucher of Florida. Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A committal service with military honors will be on Friday August 23, 2013 at 11 A.M. in the R.I. Veterans Cemetery in Exeter, R.I. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Thursday from 6-8 P.M. in the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket.
