Lucien W. Vanasse
LINCOLN - Lucien W. Vanasse, 63, of Spring Street, Manville died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Denise (Durand) Vanasse.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of Yvonne (Lesperance) Carpentier of Woonsocket and the late Lucien Vanasse, he had lived in Lincoln and Manville for over 20 years.
Mr. Vanasse was the owner of the former Lou's Auto Repair in Woonsocket for 20 years and later was the owner of Perfect Painting by Lou in Manville for 7 years.
He was a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Vietnam veterans of America.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his three loving daughters, Erin Major of Lincoln, and Tracy Crossley and her husband, Kenneth and Alicia Goddu and her husband, Teddy Woods, all of Manville; four sisters, Susan Desmarais of West Warwick, Rachel Chase of Slatersville, and Renee Cole and Liz Jones, both of Woonsocket; one brother, Richard Tellier of Woonsocket; his six beloved grandchildren, Karissa Amador, Evan W. Goddu, Talia Steele, Carson Crossley, Ayden and Kyra Woods; and several nieces and nephews including Noelani and Lorelei Richmond.
His funeral will be held FRIDAY, AUGUST 23 at 10 A.M. at BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial, with military honors, will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
