BELLINGHAM, MA- Russell J. Rizzo of Bellingham passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 in Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford surrounded by his devoted and loving family.
He leaves behind his dearly loved wife of 55 years, Mary L. (Horan) Rizzo, his sister Josephine Ehlman of Belmont, MA, his children: Lisa Rizzo of Lincoln, RI, John Rizzo of Woonsocket, RI, Mark and his wife Robin Rizzo of Mendon, MA, Michele Rizzo of Bellingham, MA and Maria (Rizzo) and her husband Michael DePaoli of Weymouth, MA. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ryan Chase, Matthew, Adam and Jenna Daignault, Mika and Mary Gipson, Daniel, Justin, Mark, Joy, and Emma Rizzo and Domenic DePaoli as well as his great-grandchildren: Adrian Chase, Dylan Brier, Madelyn and LilyJoy Daignault.
Russell lived his formative years in Belmont, MA and moved to Bellingham in 1960. He was a devoted family man, known for his sense of humor, passion for politics and New England sports teams. He will be remembered as a man who loved life, people, conversation, good food and most of all his family.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 11 AM in St. Brendan's Church, 384 Hartford Ave., Bellingham, MA 02019
Visiting hours will be Monday, August 26, 2013 from 5-8 PM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford, MA 01757.
