BLACKSTONE - Jessie E. (Buchtzk) Carter, 92, of Blackstone, MA died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 in Blackstone Nursing Home, Blackstone, MA. She was the wife of the late Leonard Carter. Born in Woonsocket, RI, Mrs. Carter was the daughter of the late Samuel and Paulina (Gouron) Buchtzk.
Mrs. Carter was a cord assembler for Miller Electric in Woonsocket RI before retiring in 1962.
She is survived by one daughter: Barbara Maloney of Blackstone, MA; two sons: Donald Carter and Bruce Carter both of Blackstone, MA; ten grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two children: Thomas Carter and Cynthia Lanoue; and three siblings: John Buchtyk, Walter Rymanski and Helen (Rymanski) Lanowy.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the James E. Kellett and Son Funeral Home, 38 Main St., Blackstone, MA. There will be a memorial service Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11:00AM in St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul's St., Blackstone, MA. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Carter's memory to St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul's St., Blackstone, MA. www.kellettandson.com
