MILLVILLE- Richard C. Bryson, 67, of Millville, passed away Tues. Sept. 3, 2013 at Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge, MA. He was the husband of Gail R. (Romanos) Bryson.
Mr. Bryson was a science teacher at Bartlett Jr. /Sr. High School in Webster for 9 years. He had previously been employed as an Ironworker in RI/MA, and also worked many years at the Blissful Meadows Country Club in Uxbridge.
Richard was born January 16, 1946 in North Adams, the son of the late James and Frances (Brooks) Bryson II. He had been a resident of Tampa, FL., and Mendon before moving to Millville in 1980.
Mr. Bryson was a 1964 graduate of Drury High School in North Adams, and a graduate of the University of South Florida, class of 1972.
Richard and Gail observed their 44th wedding anniversary this past May.
Mr. Bryson was a dedicated teacher and an enthusiastic fan of the Bartlett High School Athletic Teams. He also had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed going fishing, working in the garden, and a good game of golf.
In addition to his wife Gail, Mr. Bryson survived by his son, Joshua C. and wife Gretchen Bryson of Watkinsville, Ga., and his daughter Sarah E. Bryson of Hampden, MA. He was also survived by two brothers, James Bryson III of Nashville, TN and Peter Bryson of Topsfield, Ma., one sister Susan Dawson of Tampa, FL., two granddaughters, Grace Bryson and Jamie Bryson, brother-in-law Leo A. Romanos, Jr. and wife Anne of Adams, MA, best friends, Tom and Jackie Kelley and their families, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial calling hours will be held Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 2-4 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME 101 N. Main Street, Uxbridge.
