LINCOLN- Doris F. (Gaulin) Zanella, 91, formerly of Woonsocket, died, Saturday, September 8, 2013, in the Holiday Retirement Home, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Peter C. Zanella.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Albert N. and Marie Ange (Marcotte) Gaulin.
Doris was a Homemaker. She was a member of the St. Louis Chorale for 28 years and St. Joseph Senior Citizens and volunteered at the Woonsocket Health Center for several years.
Doris loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Elaine and her husband Richard Levitre of Woonsocket and Dorothy P. Zanella, of Pascoag. Two grandchildren, Michael and his wife Pamela Levitre of Pascoag, and Darlene Carey, of Woonsocket. Four great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Britney Levitre and Dylan and Liam Carey. Seven brothers and sisters, Roland Gaulin, Alice Picard, George Gaulin, Anita Hebert, Lucille Groleau, Eveline Requier, and Louis Gaulin. She also was the sister of the late Armand and Eugene Gaulin, Florence Laliberte, Leo, Alfred, Henry, and Raymond Gaulin.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 , at 9 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket. With a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 P.M.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Holiday Activity Fund, 30 Sayles Hill Rd. Manville, R.I. 02830 and Home and Hospice Care, 1085 N. Main St. Providence, R.I. 02903 in her memory would be appreciated.
