BELLINGHAM- Lucien E. L'Etoile, 89, of Bellingham, MA passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation of Franklin. He was the beloved husband of the late Fabiola G. (Auclair) L'Etoile.
Born in Manville, RI on May 25, 1924, he was the son of the late Joseph and Laura (Meunier) L'Etoile.
He was the loving father of Kenneth L'Etoile and his late wife, Linda of Manville, RI and Helene Carmignani and her husband, Victor of Franklin, MA. He leaves his cherished 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. L'Etoile was the last survivor of his 17 brothers and sisters.
A resident of Bellingham for many years formerly of Franklin, he worked as a warehouse manager at the Key Co Op of Boston in Franklin for many years until retiring and previously had worked at the French Worsted Mill in Woonsocket for many years.
He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving during World War II, and was a member of the American Legion.
He loved to garden and do carpentry work around the house, he was a fixer. He was a great Dad and honorable husband to Fay. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Monday, September 16th at 8:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM at St. Blaise Church 1158 So. Main St. Bellingham. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. Visiting hours are on Sunday, September 15th from 5 to 8PM at the funeral home.
