Red Sox honor Cumberland soldier

BOSTON – The Boston Red Sox’ “Hats off to Heroes Program” honored Technical Sergeant Joshua Lemois during Sunday night’s contest at Fenway Park against the New York Yankees. The ceremony took place at the end of the fourth inning.

TSgt Lemois is a member of the United States Air Force where he has served for the last 13 years. A Cumberland native, TSgt Lemois served in Saudi Arabia and volunteered for deployment in Afghanistan during his second tour of duty.

The 2013 season is the third in which the Red Sox have saluted American heroes by recognizing them during home games. The ceremony provides an opportunity for the team and fans to thank those who serve our country and protect our freedom.
