WOONSOCKET- Joseph S. Wasilewski, 85, of Woonsocket, passed away on November 2, 2010 at Landmark Medical Ctr. He was the loving husband to Bertha (Swiech) Wasilewski.
Born: March 19, 1925 in Providence. He was the son of the late Stanley and Sophie (Kuziemska) Wasilewski. He was a Woonsocket resident for 42 years. Joseph was a retired custodian at Bryant University and prior to that he was a machinist for the former COTT Soda Co. in Millis, MA. He was a WWII NAVY Veteran and member of the Fleet Reserve Association. He also was a past commander & member of the American Legion Fairmount Post #85.
Besides his wife he leaves a son Richard Wasilewski of Woonsocket a daughter Linda and her husband Joseph Pemantell Jr. of Jamestown as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Narcavage & Stella Pepper.
His Funeral will be Friday at 9:00 A.M. from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Harris Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery with Military Honors.
Relatives and Friends are invited. Visitation hours will be this evening (Nov. 4th) from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.
