BURRILLVILLE- Allen, Marguerite J. "Margie", 75, of Pascoag, RI, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on September 29, 2013 at the Landmark Medical Center.
She was the wife of the late Wallace "Wally" Allen.
She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Armand & Irene (Gagnon) Lefebvre.
Margie was a registered nurse for the Overlook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Pascoag for over twenty years. She graduated from Burrillville High School Class of 1956, and then she attended St. Joseph's School of Nursing, graduating in 1959. She lived all her life in Burrillville. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Harrisville, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Rosary and Altar Society. She completed the Burrillville Citizen's Police Academy, volunteering at the Pascoag sub-station.
Margie is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Archambault of Nasonville, a son, Michael Allen of Morrisonville, NY, four grandchildren, Amanda Bell, Melissa and Bethany Archambault, and Carly Allen. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and a sister, Eva Marietti.
She was preceded in death by, brothers, Raymond and Marcel Lefebvre, and a sister Annette OHara.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8am from the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Patrick's Church, Main St., Harrisville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Harrisville. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4pm until 7pm. Donations may be made to the St. Patrick's Church Food Pantry 45 Main St. Harrisville RI 02830, or to the RI Chapter APDA (Parkinsons disease) P.O. Box 41659 Providence RI 02904.
