CUMBERLAND- Wayne H. Greening, 80, of Sumner St. Cumberland, died October 9, 2013 in the Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Betty Law-Greening, and Sophia Sullivan (Greening) Boardman.
Born in Cambridge, NE, he was the son of the late Orra and Ethel (Cotton) Greening.
A Navy Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Greening was the owner of a dry wall company for many years. Wayne also boxed professionally and was an avid pool player.
He is survived by four children, Marilyn Bourgeois of Cumberland, Carolyn Blanchard of Baxter Springs, KS, Dottie Greening of Concord, CA, and David Greening-Boardman of Fairfield, CA, a brother, Kenneth Greening of Colorado, a step mother Dorothy Greening of Lincoln, NE, three granddaughters, Chelsea Barker, Courtney Farrow and Chrissy Stuffin and three great grandchildren, Adyson and Aiden Stuffin and Giovanni Farrow. He was the brother of the late Thelma Irene Warren and Dorothy Sutton.
Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
