BELLINGHAM- Dorothy J. (Tuttle) Carlisle, 86, of Falmouth, MA, formerly of Bellingham, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 with family by her side, at the JML Care Center of Falmouth, MA. She was the wife of the late Ernest M. Carlisle.
Born in New Bedford, MA on January 15, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Fran and Marguerita (Fleshman) Tuttle.
She was the loving mother of Norman and Robert Cody both of Woonsocket, RI, Jean Fisk and her husband, John of Attleboro, MA, Linda Whelan and her husband, Paul of Mashpee, MA and Shirley Tondreau and her husband, Dusty of Gilbert, AZ. She leaves her cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Amy, Michelle, Stephanie, Rebecca, Sarah, Jonathan, Courtney and Laura and her great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Carlton Tuttle. Also, she leaves her companion William Shea of Bellingham, MA.
She worked as a clock maker for General Electric of Ashland, RI for 25 years and also worked as a hostess at Carbone's Restaurant in Hopkinton, MA for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bellingham, and a member of the Bellingham Senior Citizens, and was an avid bingo player.
A special thanks to all the caregivers at the JML Care Center of Falmouth for all their love and caring they have provided for the past six years.
Visiting hours are on Tuesday, October 15th from 5 to 7PM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Funeral Service at 7PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Dorothy Carlisle may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association Massachusetts Chapter, 72 East Concord St., 3C, Boston, MA 02118 or would be appreciated.
