Claribelle G. Lussier

WOONSOCKET- Claribelle G. (Lavallee) Lussier, 86, of Woonsocket, RI passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Landmark Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with kidney disease. She was the loving companion of the late Alfred N. Masson and wife of the late Robert L. Lussier.
Born in Woonsocket on April 22, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Heliodore and Noella (Giguere) Lavallee.
Mrs. Lussier worked as a Health Aid for the Wrentham State School retiring in 1990. She had also worked as a Spinner in the local textile mills and as a Bus Driver for the Woonsocket School Department. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Par-X Club, the Amvet Post #7 and the Belhumer-Duhamel Post, all in Woonsocket.
Claribelle especially enjoyed spending time with her family; crocheting, knitting, sewing and liked playing cards, games, travelling with friends as a snowbird to Port St. Lucie, Fl for 15 years and vacationing in Las Vegas and Hawaii.
She is survived by her only sibling, Theresa Chausse of Woonsocket and was the beloved mother of five children, Suzette N. LaBelle and her companion, Ronald Fagnant, Paulette C. Desrosiers and her husband, Richard, Annette T. LeVasseur and her companion, John Gaffney, Robert J. Lussier and his wife, Amy, all of Woonsocket and Lisette S. Lussier and her companion, Peter Wilson, of Attleboro, MA.
Twelve grandchildren, Debra Arcand, Kenneth LaBelle, Jamie Wolter, Kevin LaBelle, Timothy Wolter, Kreg LaBelle, Thomas LeVasseur, Jennifer Masson, Keri LaBelle, Jeffery Lussier, Shane Masson and Haley Lussier.
Thirteen great-grandchildren, Michael Arcand, Fallon Arcand, Jazmyn Oliver, Darshea Strauss, Nicholas Juszczyszyn, Austin Wolter, Andrew LaBelle, Alexis Wolter, Alexis LaBelle, Courtney Deslauriers, Timothy Wolter, Amarah Drayton, Chase LaBelle, and two great-great grandchildren, X-Zarious Armstrong and Destinee Arcand. Also, three more great-great grandchildren are expected, Baby Jordyn Alvarez, Baby Johnathan Audette of Woonsocket and Baby LeVasseur of Port St. Lucie, Fl.
Her funeral will be held Monday, November 8, 2010 at 10 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in the All Saints Church, 323 Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. Her life will be celebrated with calling hours on Sunday from 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dialysis Center of Woonsocket, Attn: Patients Assistance Fund, 2100 Diamond Hill Road, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
