BLACKSTONE- Everett R. Bishop Jr., 86, of Farm Street, died, Wednesday October 16, 2013 in the Friendly Home, with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Jeannine (Comtois) Bishop. Who passed away July 2, 2013.
Born in Boston, MA. son of the late Everett R. and Nettie M. (Ellis) Bishop.
He was a Veteran of United States Navy Seabees, serving in WWII.
He worked as a Detective Sgt. for the Woonsocket Police Department, for 32 years. He also worked as Superintendent of St. Charles Cemetery for 30 years.
Everett was a craftsman, note for all the different types of clocks he made.
He was a member of the Faternal Order of Police, American Legion, and the Elks BPOE 850.
He is survived by three son, Russell Bishop, of Lincoln, R.I. Robert and his wife Dawn Bishop, of Lincoln, R.I., and Randell Bishop, and his partner, Nancy Marrinucci, of Walpole, Mass. One Step-daughter Ruth St. Jean, of Rumford, R.I. and one grandson Scott Bishop. One brother Ellis Bishop of Whitinsville, Mass.
He also was the brother of the late Jeannette Gauthier and William Bishop.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday , October 19, 2013 at 10 A.M. in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Friday October 18, 2013 from 5-8 P.M.
