Raymond J. Palin Sr.

CUMBERLAND - Raymond J. Palin Sr., 87, of Rosemont Ave., passed away Thursday in the Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Yvette R. (Boucher) Palin.
Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Arthur and Florence (Beauchamp) Palin. He resided in Cumberland for the past 66 years.
Mr. Palin was a steamfitter working out of Local 476, Cranston and later in Providence until his retirement in 1987.
He was a U. S. Army Air Force veteran serving as a Aerial Gunner in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre of Operations. He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Cumberland and a Gold Member of Local 51 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union.
Besides his wife he leaves four children, Raymond J. Palin Jr. of Sunapee, NH; Janice L. Ereio of Cumberland; Donna L. Trudeau of Cummings, GA and Nancy A. McCauley of Clearwater, FL. He also leaves nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a nephew Darin DeCosta of Loxahatchee, FL and niece Patricia McCoy of Hernando, FL. He was the brother of the late Arthur J. Palin and Dolores DeCosta.
A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rte. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Broad St., Cumberland. Burial with military honors will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
