SLATERSVILLE- Scott Daniel Wright, Jr., 13, of No. Main St., Slatersville, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Hasbro Children's Hospital, Providence.
Born in Providence, he was the son of Scott D. and Christine J. (Mancini) Wright.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Stephanie, and brother, Andrew, his paternal grandparents, John and Carol (Middleton) Wright of Slatersville, his maternal grandfather, Bruno Mancini, of Burrillville. He was also the grandson of the late Joyce (DeRosa) Mancini. His is also survived by his maternal great grandmother, Almarinda Mancini of Johnston, his aunts and uncles Scott and Mary Lou Mancini, and David and Patricia Wright of Burrillville, Judith Gabrielson and Amy Wright of Slatersville and by ten cousins that he loved very much.
Scottie was an eighth grade student at the No. Smithfield Middle School.
He was an avid bird hunter and especially enjoyed goose and pheasant hunting with his dad. He loved spending time with Stephanie and Andrew and his mom snow mobiling at their home in Maine. He was also a certified scuba diver and loved to work in the yard with his grandfather and his John Deere tractor. Scott also enjoyed riding his dirt bike and four wheeler and loved riding his bicycle with his friends. He will always be remembered for the love and laughter that he shared with everyone who was lucky enough to spend time with him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 2 - 4PM and 7 - 9PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
