NAPLES, FL - Robert T. Walsh 80, of Naples, Florida passed away Friday, September 20, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 27, 1932, he grew up in Woonsocket and was graduated from Woonsocket High School. Bob was a US Navy veteran and was buried with full military honors in Punta Gorda, Florida. He was passionate about his faith and served as an elder at the Grace Bible Church in Port Charlotte, Florida, for many years. He loved sports and especially enjoyed playing tennis and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Robert was the son of the late Albina (Dufour) and James Walsh of Brooklyn, New York and Woonsocket.
Bob is survived by his wife of sixty one years Connie (Goulet), two daughters Patricia Makowski of Southington, Connecticut, and Carol Krawiec of West Chester, PA and two sons Robert of Puyallup, Washington and William of Naples, Florida. He is also survived by his brother, Jack Walsh of Woonsocket and a sister, Nancy Harrington of Wickford, RI. Bob was very proud of his family including seventeen grand-children and sixteen great grand-children.
A Celebration of Life Service was held at Grace Bible Church in Port Charlotte, FL on September 28, 2013.
