WHITINSVILLE/UXBRIDGE - Olive (Richardson) Pendleton, 95, passed away Thurs. Oct. 24, 2013 in UMass/Memorial Medical Center, Worcester.
She was born in Uxbridge in 1918 the daughter of the late Elias and Laura (Ballou) Richardson and was a graduate of Uxbridge High School in 1936. A resident of Uxbridge for most of her life, she was living in Whitinsville for the past few years.
Mrs. Pendleton was a quality control inspector for many years at Philips Components in Slatersville, RI, retiring in 1984. Previously, she was employed at the former Whitin Machine Works in Whitinsville and the Civil Service office in Milford. In her retirement, she had worked at the Town Library in Uxbridge.
She was member of the First Evangelical Congregational Church in Uxbridge and was an avid seamstress. She also enjoyed swimming and walking.
Mrs. Pendleton is survived by two sons Ralph E. Pendleton of Shrewsbury and Arthur R. Pendleton of Manchester, CT; a daughter G. Ann (Pendleton) Archambault of Grafton; a brother Elias Richardson, Jr. of Uxbridge; a sister Leona Tanner of E. Greenwich, RI; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson Carl J. Archambault, 5 sisters, 2 brothers, and her former husband Cecil A. Pendleton.
Visiting hours will be Saturday October 26, 2013 from 10 11 AM prior to the service in the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 480 Church St.,WHITINSVILLE.
Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Uxbridge.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Camillus Health Center, Activity Fund, 447 Hill St., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
