WOONSOCKET- Alice (Desjardins) Garceau, 101, of Woonsocket, died October 21, 2013 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Rene P. Garceau.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ernestine (Hebert) Desjardins.
Alice had been employed as an office and sales clerk for SS Kresge Dollar Store and the former Jupiter Discount Store prior to retiring in 1972. She was a graduate of the class of 1930 from Woonsocket High School.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Roland Desjardins, Roger Desjardins, Yvonne Durocher and Lumina Bouley.
Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funereal Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI.
