SMITHFIELD- Helen M. Golouski 84, resident of Smithfield passed away October 29, 2013, at the Hebert Nursing Home in Smithfield.
She was the wife of the late Francis "Frank" Golouski.
She was born in Providence a daughter of the late Charles & Elizabeth (Baumann) Kern.
Helen worked for the former Woonsocket Institute for Savings, Eastland Bank and Fleet Bank. Previously she worked for Shepard's millinery department in Providence. She was a loving homemaker and a very caring woman, who took care of her mother during her struggles with Parkinson's disease, and her husband during his illness. She also helped raise her two grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and cruises to exotic places; also she enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is survived by a son, John Golouski, daughter in law, Mary (Baker) Golouski, brother in law, Joseph Golouski and his wife Mary, grandson David Golouski, and two cousins, Maureen McGarry, and Linda Menard.
She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Golouski, and granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Golouski.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11am in the Keene-Brown Funeral 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery in Pawtucket. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 9:30 until 11:00am.
