NORTH SMITHFIELD- Florence J. (Brunelle) Kafalas, 93, Wilks Ave., died October 20, 2013 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Constant C. Kafalas.
Born in Linwood, MA, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Anna (Poulin) Brunelle.
Mrs. Kafalas was an employee of Amperex, No. Smithfield, for many years, retiring in 1983. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, enjoyed reading and cooking and loved animals.
She is survived by a son, Donald Kafalas of Slatersville, three daughters, Joan Paulhus of Franklin, NH, and Joyce Serafin and Darlene Atwill, both of No. Providence, fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Dennis and Russell Kafalas and sister of the late Arthur and Robert Brunelle and Margaret Lessard.
Private funeral arrangements were held under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., No. Smithfield RI, 02896.
