OAKLAND- Michael M. Martin, 69, of 290 Whipple Ave, Oakland, RI died at his home, Monday morning, October 28th.
Born September 7th, 1944, he was the son of the late Harry and Karen (Strendvik) Martin, and also proceeded in death by his sister, Karen.
He was a graduate of Woonsocket High School and was a retired Teamster working for many trucking companies throughout his life. He was credited with over 2 million safe driving miles. Mr. Martin had an incredible passion for flying, accumulating over 5,000 hours of flying time.
He was a caring and generous individual and is survived by his loving companion Earlene Cook, his son Michael Martin and wife Tracy, his daughter Kelly McCann and husband Christopher. He also survived by three grandchildren, Jake, Erial and Cameron, and former wife Nancy Martin (Vinciguerra).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 9th at 11 am at St. Charles Church, 190 North Main St., Woonsocket, RI.
