BELLINGHAM- Russell S. Clunie, 73, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 with his loving family by his side, at Landmark Medical Center. He was the beloved husband for 53 years of Claire T. (DeBlois) Clunie.
Born in New Bedford, MA on December 11, 1939, he was the son of the late Stanley and Eva (Nunes) Clunie.
He was the loving father of Sue-Ellen Beals and her husband, Randall of Woonsocket, RI, Shari Gentile and companion, Allen Archibald of Bellingham, MA, and Amy Dalton and her husband, T.J. of Bellingham, MA. He leaves his cherished grandchildren, Sarah Date and her husband, Nicholas, Geoffrey Beals, Megan and Lindsey Gentile, Emily, Katelyn and Olivia Dalton, and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Norah and William Date. He also leaves his brother, Alan Clunie of Fairhaven, MA and his sister, Janice Collins and her husband, David of Kenmore, NY, and many nieces and nephews.
A resident of Bellingham since 1965, formerly of Fairhaven, MA, Russ was a graduate of the American Institute of Baking in Chicago, IL and worked as a supervisor at Wonder Bread in Natick, MA for many years. In 1972 together with is wife, Claire they owned and operated C & C Creations in Bellingham for many years. Russ also was a pilot for Mall Airlines and a flight instructor at the Norfolk Airport. After retirement, he then worked for WalMart. Devoted to his family, Russ will be greatly missed.
Arrangements were private under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, Bellingham, MA.
