LINCOLN- Jacqueline G. (Gousy) Beattie, 88, of Old River Road died Friday, November 8, 2013 at home.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Louis H. and Leonide (Labrecque) Gousy, she had lived in Manville for most of her life.
Jacqueline was an inspector at Texas Instruments for 7 years before retiring in 1988. She had previously worked at Uniroyal in Woonsocket and Owens-Corning Fiberglas in Ashton.
She is survived by her companion of 33 years, Kathleen Costa of Lincoln; her sons, Glen B. Beattie of North Providence and Michael T. Beattie and his wife, Lisa of Lincoln; her son-in-law, Normand Malo of North Smithfield; her sister, Gabrielle R. Young of Anacortes, WA; and four grandchildren, Michael Malo, Kelly Kobani, Bryan Malo and Andrea Beattie. She is also survived by her six great grandchildren whom she lovingly adored; a dear friend of the family, Richard Hackett; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late James E. Beattie and Carol A. (Beattie) Malo and the sister of the late Roger L. Gousy.
Her funeral will be held WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13 at 9:30 A.M. at BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Manville.
