WOONSOCKET- Antonio Pucciarelli, 87, formerly of St. Leon Ave. died Saturday November 9, 2013 in the Friendly Nursing Home, with his granddaughter Brenda by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline (Lemoine) Pucciarelli. Tony and Pauline were happily married for 59 years.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Joseph and Alda (Salacchi) Pucciarelli.
Mr. Pucciarelli worked as a group leader and automatic equipment operator for General Electric and also Timex and Telchron, prior to retiring in l989.
He was a United States Navy veteran serving in WWll.
He was a former member of the Holy Name Society of St. Anthony's Church serving as secretary, and a retired member of the Italian Workingmen's Club.
He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family especially his granddaughter and great-grandchildren. He especially enjoyed watching his grandsons, play their favorite sports.
He is survived by one son Anthony M. Pucciarelli, and his wife Linda, of Woonsocket, One granddaughter Brenda Doucette and her husband Keith, of Burrillville, R.I. Two great grandsons, Keith Jr. and Mason Doucette, also of Burrillville, R.I.
He also was the brother of the late Mary V. Moretti.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 A.M. from the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, R.I. With a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in St. Anthony's Church, Greene St. Woonsocket, Burial with Military Honors, will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 10 A.M. Following the burial everyone is invited to the Italian Workingmen's Club on Diamond Hill Rd. in Woonsocket, for a luncheon in his memory.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Colon Cancer Alliance Voices of R.I. Chapter PO Box 9313 Warwick, R.I. 02889, and to the R.I. Chapter of Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St. Suite 306 Providence, R.I. 02906, in his would be appreciated
