WRENTHAM- Armando A. "Allie" Kaizzi, 95, of Wrentham formerly of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Pond Home in Wrentham. He was the beloved husband for 72 years of Lorenette T. "Netta" (Knoerzer) Kaizzi. Born in Milford, MA on February 14, 1918, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Rose (Capoldo) Caiazzi. He was the brother of Jennie Caiazzi of Boston, MA, Dorothy McGrath of Hopedale, MA, and the late John, Domenic and Margaret Caiazzi. He also leaves his nieces and nephews.
He was a United States Army Air Force World War II Veteran with the 881st Bombardment Squadron attaining the rank of Technical Sergeant serving in the Air Offensive Japan, Eastern Mandates, Western Pacific, and received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, Bronze Star Medal, Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a member of the Milford Kiwanis Club and the American Legion. He enjoyed playing bocce ball, snorkeling, loved the ocean, traveling and being with family and will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours are on Tuesday, November 12th from 5 to 7PM at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Funeral Service at 7PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
