BELLINGHAM- Lloyd E. Rhodes, 85, a lifetime resident of Bellingham, MA, died November 9, 2013. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Dufresne) Rhodes and the son of the late George and Dorothy (Bartlett) Rhodes.
He is predeceased by his brother Burton Rhodes, his sister Beulah Milliard, and his grandson Matthew Rhodes.
Lloyd was the owner of the Bellingham Lumber, Hopkinton Lumber, and Chocorua Valley Lumber Companies. Mr. Rhodes graduated from Bellingham High School and served in the United States Army in 1946 in Japan. He then graduated from Northeastern University in Boston. He was a member of the former First Universalist Church of Woonsocket, RI.
He is survived by his children, Bill and Deborah Baisley of Uxbridge, Jesse and Catherine Rhodes, Daniel and Nancy Rhodes, and David Rhodes all of Bellingham; his grandchildren, Nick and Jane Jackson, Sarah Horsman, Brian, Amanda, and Jesse Rhodes; and two great grandchildren.
Private funeral arrangements were under the direction of Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI.
