WOONSOCKET - Roland Maynard, 89, of Woonsocket passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home in Bristol, RI. He was the beloved husband of the late Ethel (Heroux) Maynard and his cherished companion Angelina P. (Dalti) Dagesse.
Born in Woonsocket on November 3, 1922, he was the son of the late Romeo and Corinne G. (Gaulin) Maynard.
A lifelong resident of Woonsocket, Roland was a very well known City Graphic Sign Designer and Artist. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and received the World War II Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, Combat Aircrewman Insignia 3 Stars, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Medal 4 Stars, Good Conduct Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal.
Funeral arrangements are private under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, Bellingham, MA.
