NORTH SMITHFIELD- Jean L. Fortune 81, resident of North Smithfield died December 24, 2012 at her residence.
She was the wife to the late Harvey Fortune Jr.
Born April 17, 1931, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the daughter of the late Jesse & Gladys (Rainville) Carpenter.
Jean worked for General Motors for many years. She was a resident of North Smithfield formerly she lived in Ct. Jean enjoyed riding horses.
She is survived by her children, son; Gary of North Smithfield, daughter; Jane Langlais of North Smithfield, son; Lawrence of Chepachet and daughter Margaret Haenel of North Smithfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jean was the last of four sisters; Mary, Ella and Alice.
Funeral services and burial were held privately. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Highway, Oakland.
